Taro Manufacturing Company Inc. has announced that its legacy ignition parts catalog has been digitized and formatted in the industry ACES and PIES industry standard. The Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard (ACES) is the aftermarket industry data standard for the management and communication of product fitment data. The Product Information Exchange Standard (PIES) is the aftermarket industry data standard for the management and communication of product information. Both standards are important to the parts industry in order to keep up with the ever-changing part and fitment information in the markets. They are facilitated by groups such as the Autocare Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and have been instrumental in evolving the old "binder system" of part numbers into the digital age.
